KARACHI: The leave application of former chief minister of Sindh, Liaquat Ali Jatoi, had to be moved in the Sindh Assembly twice on Wednesday for approval.

Jatoi had sought a day's leave for March 31 and it was put before the House for approval as usual.

PPP's Pir Mazharul Haq asked as to why he was shy of showing his face in the House.

"We do not oppose his leave application but want to put some conditions," he added.

He maintained that Jatoi was still using chief minister's car and the chamber in the Sindh Assembly.

Acting Speaker Syed Jalal Mahmood, who was in the chair, pointed out that its the tradition that the leave application put before the House is approved.

However, he said that he would inform Jatoi about the feelings of the members of the Sindh Assembly.

The leave application of Jatoi when put before the House for the second time, was approved.ÑAPP
