SADIQABAD: The Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) will soon inaugurate its new 'Malamal' deposit scheme after Eid, announced MCB general manager Khalil Baloch and Regional Manager Muhammad Sadaq in Rahimyar Khan. They were addressing the five-year celebration of MCB Rupee Travellers Cheques Scheme. The bank executives distributed prizes among bank managers including Mian Irshad Nabi, Manager MCB Sadiqabad and Atiq Khan Lodhi, Manager MCB Main Bazar Branch Sadiqabad, for outstanding performance.ÑAPP

3 dacoits killed in 'encounter'

SADIQABAD: The Liaquatpur police gunned down three dacoits Muhammad Nawaz, Liaqat Ali and Muhammad Ramzan in an alleged encounter. According to reports, five dacoits who were on the run from the site after a foiled dacoity attempt in Chak 88/ Abbasia, Liaqatpur tehsil, opened fire on the villagers who were chasing them, killing a railway gangman. Later, three of the accused were arrested by the police while two managed to escape. The police brought the criminals back to the village, where they were allegedly shot while trying to escape, according to police sources.ÑAPP

Obituary

ISLAMABAD: Muhammadullah, father of Inamullah Khan, senior clerk (Accounts), APP Islamabad, died of brain haemorrhage in village Hund, Tehsil Swabi, district Mardan. The burial ceremonies are to take place late on Wednesday afternoon. The management, employees union and colleagues have condoled the sad demise with Inamullah. They have prayed to Allah to place the departed soul in eternal rest and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.ÑAPP
