Govt committed providing basic facilities: Shahbaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Muslim League government is committed to providing basic facilities to the masses and take effective measures in this regard.

He was talking to members of provincial and national assemblies, who called on him here on Wednesday. He urged them to supervise the development schemes of their constituencies and ensure transparency in utilisation of funds and standard of work.

The chief minister said that the government will succeed in achieving the goal of development and prosperity. 'After fulfilling the goal of making Pakistan a nuclear state we will also achieve our goal in other fields', he added.

The members apprised the chief minister about the pace of work on ongoing development schemes in their respective areas. They said that because of development schemes, the people's confidence in the government has increased.
