French Feb jobless up for first time since August
PARIS: The number of people unemployed in France rose in February for the first time since August 1998, adding 7,900 to the jobless queues and bucking a steady downward trend seen in recent months.
The Labour Ministry said on Wednesday the French unemployment rate rose to 11.5 percent from 11.4 percent in January, with women between the ages of 25 and 49 particularly affected.-Reuters
