Entry test

for 100 additional

medical

seats on 12th

KARACHI: Sindh Health Department through a Notification. SOV (ME) 1-1-AP/98-99 here on Wednesday announced creating 100 seats in the public sector medical colleges of the province.

There will be 60 seats for Karachi Division and 40 seats for other districts of Sindh. Application/admission forms are available on all three selection centres viz: DMC Karachi, LMC Jamshoro, CMC Larkana without any cost.

Following candidates have been mentioned to be eligible to appear in the entrance Test:

Ñ Candidates with adjusted marks in the Intermediate Examination 1998-99 not less than the marks on which the admission in the concerned medical college for the relevant district (S) had been closed last year will be eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Ñ Candidates would also be required to have appeared in the last entrance test for admission in the medical college.

Ñ They must not have been selected or admitted, on self-finance or reciprocal basis, or against any reserved seats in any college under the control Ñ Government of Sindh or its subordinate department or the autonomous organization, controlled by the government.

Ñ The weightage of the marks assigned to the entry test, intermediate and matriculation marks shall be the same as for the previous test.

Ñ There will be no reserved seats for these admissions. However, the other terms and conditions of the admission, as may be relevant, shall be the Ñ as contained in the prospectus of admission for 1998-99 for the medical college of Sindh.

As for schedule application forms have already been issued from March 4 to 27, while last date of submission is April 4.

Entrance Test will be held on April 12, 1999 at 10.00 a.m.

The venue for candidates from all five districts of Karachi will be I.B.A city campus, Garden Road, Karachi. While Hyderabad, Public School, Latifabad No. 2, Hyderabad will be the centre for candidates from all other districts of the province.ÑAPP
