Eid prayers were offered amid tight security as all major Eidgahs, Masjids and Imam Bargahs were being guarded by the police and other law enforcing agencies.
Federal Interior Minister Ch. Shujat Hussain, Punjab Speaker Ch. Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Tajjamal Hussain, Ch. Mubashar Hussain, MNA, Ch Wajahat Hussain, MPA, chairman Task Force, Imran Masood and other eminent political and social personalities offered Eid prayers at the Gujrat Eidgahs.
Later, the Chaudhris placed flower wreaths at the mausoleum of Ch Zahoor Elahi, and met various delegations at the Zahoor palace.
