KARACHI: The 14th Interpack 96 - international fair of packaging machinery, packaging and confectionery will be held in Dusseldorf from May 9-15.

Jamil A. Naz, Chairman, Fairs and Exhibition Committee of FPCCI gave details of the fair at a presentation held here this after noon.

He said that as the key event in the trade, interlack has for decades been a lot more than purely a basis for business for the exhibitors and purchasers in the industry.

Baroucha of Lufthansa German airlines was specially invited to inform the participants about the travel facilities which the airline would be able to extend to the participants.

It was poiinted out at the meeting that getting avisa for Germany was a big problem and a major deterrent for the prospective participants.

Those who visit the Consulate General here for German visa face innumerable problems reaching the window. They are made to stand in the scorching heat bracing the exhaust of the airconditioner which is installed on top of the window where people que for depositing their visa applications.

Nobody from among the organisers of Tuesday's briefing was able to assure to take up these issues with the German Embassy in Islamabad or Consulate General here to resolve problems of visa seekers.
