Indian tin up,
other metals steady
BOMBAY: Tin prices lifted further on the metal market on Tuesday, dealers said, but other base metals were steady in a narrow trading range.
Ready tin extended gains by 300 rupees to 35,500 rupees per quintal on restricted arrivals, shortage of ready stock and sustained physical support. Tin was up 200 rupees per quintal on Monday and by 400 rupees per quintal last week.
Copper held steady at 15,400 rupees per quintal as did zinc at 6,500 rupees and lead at 5,000 rupees per quintal respectively in limited activity. Nickel was steady, and aluminium quiet.-Reuter
