Increase buying at Akbari Mandi

LAHORE: The main commodity centre in the city, Akbari Mandi depicted an increased buying trend with improved turnover while a slight increase recorded in price in terms of sugar on Sunday after two holidays.

Sugar registered an upward trend in price by Rs 15 per 100 KG and it saw upward trend in buying as well. The commodity also registered an improved turnover. The commodity reopened at Rs 1715 but during the day it rose up to Rs 1730. Similarly, the ex-mill rates also increased by Rs 15.

Pulses, rice and wheat registered routine buying with improved turnover while their prices remained steady. Oil and Kiryana sectors also saw increased buying remaining glued to their previous price levels.

Sugar.....Rs 1730 to Rs 1740 per 100 kg.
