Chinese team

KARACHI: The de-regulated and liberal economic policies of Pakistan government have received appreciation in Peoples Republic of China.
This was stated by An Chengixin, Vice-Chairman, Council for the Promotion of International Trade - CCPIT - and leader of the 33-member high-powered Chinese investment delegation at the dinner hosted by FPCCI's liaison office in Islamabad, on April 6, according to a press release issued by the FPCCI here on Monday afternoon.
Chengixin said that China is proud of Pakistan's friendship and said that China and Pakistan are all-weather friends. He stressed the need for regular communication and meetings of the Chinese companies with their counterparts in Pakistan.
The aim of their present visit is to strengthen the bilateral trade and explore the possibilities of more investment and joint venture between the two countries. In the recent past Chinese companies have collaborated for the establishment of various projects worth over 2 billion US dollars in Pakistan. He offered the services of Chinese companies for the establishment of hydel power projects, dams construction and in the expansion of Pakistan Steel.
Earlier in the address of welcome, Naseem-ur-Rehman, Chairman, FPCCI office in Islamabad said, that the visit of such high-powered Chinese investment delegation is indeed a testimony to the importance, the Chinese Government attaches in developing her relations in the trade & economic spheres. He said that the visit of Chinese delegation will help in furtherance of relations between the two friendly countries. In due course of time, the Sino-Pakistan relationship has fortified and today it represents a true model of South-South cooperation.
