Dera Ismail Khan: Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, MNA and Chief of JUI(F), has said that the government was utilising all available resources to provide basic facilities of life at the doorstep of the people.

He was speaking at the inauguration of 200 lines digital telephone exchange worth Rs.75 lakhs at Yarik about 30 kilometres from here on Dera Bannu road.

Haji Ilahi Bakhsh Cheenah, former member district council Yarik presented the address of welcome. He said that with the inauguration of this telephone exchange would usher in an era of development in the area. Mr. Azad Bakht Khan, Director Telegraph, PTC Dera gave details of the project.

He said that work on many new digital exchanges was in progress in Dera Ismail Khan.

Maulana Fazal ur Rehman said that gas would be soon provided to Dera Ismail Khan. He said that survey work on the project was in full swing. He said that rupees Rs 430 rpt 430 million would be spent to provide Sui Gas to the area in a period of two years. He said that this would include 92 km transmission line, and 111.850 km distribution lines.-APP
