QUETTA: The Balochistan Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Imranullah Khan expressed his displeasure during his visit to the newly constructed 50-bed hospital at Hub when he was informed that the hospital was ready but water and electricity have not been provided.

The Governor, who was on a weeklong tour of interior of Balochistan to acquaint himself with the problems faced by the rural people, directed the commissioner Maj. (Retd) Nadir Ali to ensure that water and electricity was made available to the hospital so that it could start functioning and cater to the needs of the area people.

Gen. Imranullah was informed that the hospital had been built at a cost of about Rs. 5 crores but no staff has been made available and no equipment or medicines provided. The residents of Hub badly needed a well equipped hospital as the private practitioners were fleecing the people while the poor were deprived of the medical facility.

The Governor assured that all necessary staff, medicines, power and electricity would be provided to the hospital and warned the officials that no negligence in this connection would be tolerated.-APP
