chalk out programmes

KARACHI: The World Health Day will be observed throughout the country on Sunday, April 7 for which local organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes.

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in coordination with World Health Organisation and under its community service projects plans to hold a medical camp here at Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC).

Keeping in view the theme "Oral Health Care" for the current year's Health Day the camp will provide patients besides some 500 children dental examination facilities.

The dentist attending the camp will also offer teeth filling service to the patients requiring the same.

Hamdard Forum for Children will organise an International Children's Health Conference "Healthy Cities for Better Life" at Madinatal Hikmat.

The conference to be inaugurated by Mayor of Kamogawa city of Japan, Shunpei Katayama will be attended by children from all over the country besides Iran, Indonesia, Germany and Japan.

WHO representative in Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Ali Barzgar and KMC Administrator Fahimuz Zaman will also attend the conference.-APP
