Ban on inter

district movement

of wheat lifted

KARACHI: The Sindh Cabinet which met here on Saturday under the chairmanship of the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Abdullah Shah, discussed and approved amendments in the Sindh Local Government Ordinance-1979.

Cabinet decided to lift ban on inter district movement of wheat. The concerned authorities were directed to maintain strict vigil in the border districts to prevent unauthorised lifting of wheat.

The Sindh Chief Minister also directed the police for regular patrolling in the border districts to check unauthorised movement of wheat.

For undertaking development of Keti Bunder in a planned way, the Cabinet decided to examine setting up of Keti Bunder Development Authority.

The meeting of the Sindh Cabinet was attended by the provincial minister, Chief Secretary Sindh and the secretaries of the Sindh Government departments.-APP
