LAHORE: The Asian Students Fair, offering information for educational courses in various universities worldwide, opened here on Saturday amidst warm response from mostly young people ambitious to study abroad.

First ever of its kind here in Pakistan International Educational Services (IES), which brings out various informative publications about world universities and institute, the fair has travelled here from south of the country after attracting a number of students and public in the metropolitan city of Karachi.

The Chief Executive of the IES, M.S. Mirza, while talking to APP, said that the fair was a much-needed facility here as more and more people want to study abroad and acquire foreign qualification in this age of specialisation.

He said, with different groups of universities, another Edu-Fair would be organised here towards the close of this year. This kind of activity could streamline the future planning of many students, he said. IES publish 'Admission Times' which is a quarterly magazine circulated worldwide and offers educational information about various universities, said the chief organiser M.S. Mirza.

About 20 well-equipped booths hired at the Avari Hotel constitute the fair which comprises personnel from City University, Warsaw University of Technology, Technical University of Lodz, Grine American University (Southeastern University Washington, Girne Campus), Rennes Graduate Business School, Richmond College, American International University in London, Swiss Hotel Association and Hotel Management School, Les Roches International American University, Vilniaus Technical University, Lahore College of Arts and Sciences, The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants Comenius University, Athens School of Fine Arts, RMT Enterprise, Qadri International, The Educator, Students Inn.

The fair will continue till April 7 (Sunday).-APP
