Asghar meets
33-members Chinese
delegation
ISLAMABAD: There are vast and bright prospects of further cooperation and technical assistance in major fields, especially in the heavy and light engineering sector.
This was stated by Brig. (R) Muhammad Asghar, Federal Minister for Industries and Production while talking to a High powered 33-member Chinese Economic delegation here on Saturday. He said, 'Sino-Pak friendship is time-tested and growing strong day by day on account of close cooperation in different fields'.
Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC), Heavy Electrical complex (HEC) are the best examples of mutual cooperation, he added.
Brig. Asghar also expressed his gratitude to the Chinese for technical know how and provision of machinery and equipment for establishing of HMC-3.
Secretary Industries and Production Aftab Ahmad Khan, briefed the delegation about the free investment economic and trade policy of the government. He also apprised the delegation about the number of the steps taken by the Government to attract the foreign investors and traders.
The visiting high-powered Chinese delegation is comprised of a number of different firms and enterprises, aimed to explore more vistas of joint ventures and mutual cooperation in different economic sectors.
Chairman, State Engineering Corporation, Dr. Akram Sheikh, Joint Secretaries Ministry of Industries and Production were also present in the meeting.
Chinese Ambassador also participated in the meeting.-APP
