Altaf's support
to Qayyum in
AJK polls termed
a conspiracy
ISLAMABAD: The Incharge, Kashmir Desk PPP Central Secretariat Javed Rathore has said Qayyum - Altaf collusion is a conspiracy against the Kasmir Liberation Movement.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday he said the announcement of self-exiled MQM leader Altaf Hussain to support AJK Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Khan's son Atiq Ahmad in the forthcoming AJK elections is a testimony to the fact that Qayyum and his son do not even refrain from joining hands with anti-state elements in sheer lust for power.
He said Altaf Hussain has neither condemned the Indian repression in the Held Kashmir nor has overtly supported the movement launched by valiant Kashmiris to achieve their just right to self-determination.
Javed Rathore lamented that despite his appeal in New York the MQM activists refused to join the protest demonstration staged against Indian brutalities in the Occupied Kashmir saying that they have been ordered by Altaf Bhai not to do so.
He said those who join hands with people like Altaf Hussain can in no way be sincere with the Kashmir cause.
Rathore said the assurance from Altaf Hussain to support Qayyum in the AJK polls is part of a conspiracy adding that it should serve as an eye-opener for the patriotic people of the country.
Answering a question, he said, Qayyum is at the helm of affairs in the state and the fears of rigging in the ensuing elections being expressed by him are amazing. He said if Qayyum should step down and the polls should be held under the supervision of a neutral caretaker prime minister, if he is really sincere in holding of transparent polls.
He suggested that the chief justice of AJK Supreme Court or the High Court should be made caretaker prime minister to ensure free and fair elections.-PPI
