MULTAN: As many as 23 persons have so far been killed due to collapse of dilapidated buildings in walled city of Multan during the last six months. On Thursday/Friday night one of the 200 dangerous buildings caved in mohallah Shahasaz (Bohargate) resulting death of five persons of a trader's family. However, her infant escaped unhurt.

Punjab chief minister Nakai has ordered the municipal corporation and Multan Development Authority to conduct a survey of buildings in dangerous condition so that they could be demolished.

Deputy Commissioner Multan visited the site and gave the cash of Rs 10,000 to Iqbal Malik, footwear trader.
