LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling staff of Collectorate of Customs, Lahore on Saturday arrested two more customs inspectors allegedly involved in smuggling of 22 tonne of charas.

Both Inspectors Customs of Dry Port Lahore, Babar Rehman and Amjad Jafari were taken into custody when they were called to attend the office in connection with the interrogation of charas smuggling.

One Deputy Superintendent Customs, Mughalpura Dry Port, Lahore Malik Ijaz and two Inspectors Customs namely Rai Sakhawat Ali and Naveed Qateel son of renowned poet Qateel Shafai were already under detention and being interrogated under the supervision of Assistant Collector Customs, Anti-Smuggling Muhammad Zahid Khokhar.

The Anti Narcotics Force, Lahore is also conducting separate investigation in the same charas scandal.-APP
