KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's tin price rose six cents to 15.95 ringgit ($6.30) a kg in tandem with higher overnight values in London, traders said.

"The rise of the LME spurred buying in the domestic market," said a Malaysian-based dealer.

A major trading house said the local premium against London rose to $55 from $25 overnight. There were initial bids for 121 tonnes against 88 on offer. Final turnover was 103 tonnes against 83 on Thursday. Buyers were from Europe and Malaysia.-Reuter
