Kashmiri DPs are looked after well, says Qayyum

LAHORE: The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, said the Friday that Kashmir movement is essentially indigenous and no one has the right to be emotionally charged and declare Jehad by putting Pakistan at risk.

Reacting to a question about the stay sought by a freedom fighter in Kashmir from a Pakistani court of law in a meet-the- press meeting at Lahore Press Club here, Qayyum said that refugees coming from across the LoC should take refuge in Azad Kashmir where they are well looked after by international charitable organisations.

Presently, he said, about 10,500 Kashmiris are living in refugee camps and their status is that of defined refugees but they can't become permanent residents.-APP
