HYDERABAD: Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Prof. N.D. Khan has said that 'a day of democracy is better than thousand years of martial law'.

He said the PPP government had taken effective measures to resolve the problems of working class including PIA employees.

He was talking to a delegation of "Peoples Unity of PIA employees" at the VIP lounge, Hyderabad Air Port on Friday.

He claimed that it was because of these measures that the workers all over the country were satisfied with the government policies.

Khan said that PIA employees had waged a relentless battle against martial law and, therefore, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was taking personal interest in resolving the problems of PIA employees.

The delegation of Peoples Unity included, Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada, Mohammad Saeed, Iqbal Ahmed Soomro, Nazar Mohammad Shah and Jameel Ahmed.
