Indian poll
violence
NEW DELHI: At least six people have been killed in violence linked to upcoming Indian general elections in the eastern state of Bihar, taking to 13 the number slain in the country, a newspaper said Friday.
All the six murders in Bihar, reputedly the country's most lawless state, were "politically motivated" and carried out by "rival groups to create terror" in different constituencies, The Asian Age reported.
Those killed belonged to the state's ruling Janata Dal (People's Party) and the opposition Samata (Equality) Party as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party (Indian People's Party).-AFP
