5 of a family killed in roof collapse

MULTAN: As many as five persons including a woman and four girls belonging to the same family were killed following collapse of roof of an under construction house in the central city area in the wee hours on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Rasheeda (40), her daughters, Shumaila (15) and Shazia (17) while and nieces Aisha and Kirran.

According to the reports the roof of a room adjacent to an under-construction room caved in at around two A.M. Friday resulting in the death of the five. However, five other members including Hameeda Bibi, Farukh Bibi, Ayaz Iqbal, Maryam Bibi and six month old baby of the same family who also were asleep in the same room miraculously remained unhurt.

The civil administration soon after receiving the news rushed to the site and helped in rescuing the affected family.-APP
