LAHORE: Police has not yet registered the First Information Report (FIR) of the murder of PML-N Additional Secretary-General, Metropolitan Corporation, Lahore, Javed Ashraf.

However, all the police officials of the Civil Lines police station from "Moharir" to SP left their seats and closed the main gates of the police station.

According to details, after the incident of Javed Ashraf's murder PML-N leaders, including former PPP minister Mian Iftikhar Tari, Akhtar Rasool, Ahsan Iqbal, MNA, Arshad Imran Sulehri and Haji Abdur Razzaq reached the Civil Lines police station for registration of FIR, but all the police officials left their seats one by one and disappeared.

It is reported that even 'Moharir' of the police station left the police station. However, two police guards were present at the gate to debar the PML-N leaders and journalists from entering the police station.

The complainant of the case, Mian Iftikhar Tari, and other PML-N leaders had been running after police officers to lodge their complaint, but police officers did not give any hearing to their complaints and remained busy in 'high level' meetings.

The application for the registration of FIR implicates Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, Chief Minister Punjab, Arif Nakai, and Senior Minister Punjab, Mushtaq Awan.-PPI
