CSCE coffee weaker

NEW YORK: CSCE coffee futures were weaker and near the middle of the session's range in dull midday trade, pressured by light speculative selling, traders said, but the market continued to trade in a very tight range.

Traders said they expected little movement outside of the May's recent ranges between 114.00 and 117.00 a lb ahead of the Good Friday holiday on April 5.

At 1128 EST, May coffee was 0.60 lower at 115.25 cents a lb, after trading between 114.50 and 116.25. Second-month July was 0.25 weaker at 115.00, while the back months were off 0.05 to 0.85.

Traders pegged resistance at 116.50 basis May, while support was seen near 112.75.-Reuter
