BOMBAY: Bombay sugar prices on Thursday remained restricted in a narrow trading range amid limited activity, said dealers.

"Neighbouring states were active buyers from local mills which reduced supplies from mills to the market," one broker added.

Ready sugar S-30 was steady at 1,290/1,310 rupees per quintal and so was M-30 at 1,305/1,340 per quintal.

Sugar mill delivery was also quoted firm at 1,225/1,235 rupees per quintal. Indian metal prices moved in a narrow trading range on sluggish demand on Thursday, dealers said.

"Inflow of major metals also was at a low ebb due to scattered offerings by state-owned agencies and importers," one dealer said.

Meanwhile, ready copper held steady at 15,325 rupees per quintal and so was zinc at 6,450 rupees and lead at 4,925 rupees per quintal respectively.-Reuter
