GARHI KHUDA BUX (Larkana): The 17th death anniversary of Founder-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party and first elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed here Thursday in a befitting manner as elsewhere in the country and Azad Kashmir with a renewed commitment to carry forward his mission to make Pakistan a real welfare state.

Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were held all over the country for the departed soul of late Z.A. Bhutto.

People from all walks of life in their messages on the occasion paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Bhutto for his services for the cause of poor and downtrodden people and for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

The main death anniversary programme was held at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, about 28 kilometres from Larkana. On the occasion Quran Khawani was held at the mazar of Shaheed Bhutto.

Prime Minister and Chairperson PPP, Benazir Bhutto, accompanied by members of PPP's Central Executive Committee visited the mazar of her father, placed a floral wreath and offered fateha. She also recited Quran at the Shaheed's grave for sometime.

Besides, MNAs, Senators and MPAs also visited the Mazar and offered fateha.

The Prime Minister also visited the mazar of her younger brother late Mir Shah Nawaz Bhutto, laid a floral wreath and offered fateha.-APP
