LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah, is optimistic about the implementation of the Supreme Court's verdict on the appointments to superior courts. He has expressed hope that the government will follow the rule of law.

"The Lahore High Court Bar Association is the largest and elite body of lawyers, and that was why I decided to issue the final verdict in the historic city of Lahore", Syed Sajjad Ali Shah said while speaking to newsmen after having tea with the LHCBA members at the Karachi Shohada Hall.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan on Wednesday visited the LHCBA on the special invitation of the association.

The Chief Justice who was in a light mood exchanged views with the lawyers who lauded his judgements. The lawyers requested him to pass by the protestors of the LHCBA who were observing a sit-in, in the compound of LHC demanding full implementation of the Supreme Court verdict. The CJ accepted the request.
