Eid-ul-Azha to be
celebrated
ISLAMABAD: Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated throughout the country on Monday, with usual religious fervour in the memory of the supreme offering when Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (Ellah-e-Salam) presented his son Hazrat Ismail (Ellah-e-Salam) for sacrifice in pursuance of Almighty Allah's command.
Eid congregations will be held at about 500 mosques and Eidgahs in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad where Khatib and Ulema will throw light on the significance of the day and the objective of Eid ul Azha.
The acting President Wasim Sajjad will offer Eid prayer at the grand Faisal Mosque in Islamabad along with thousands of namazis.
In Lahore Namaz-e-Eid will be offered at more than 200 open places in the provincial metropolis while as usual, the biggest congregation will be held at historic Badshahi mosque. Major Eid congregations will also be held at Data Darbar mosque, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Masjid-e-Shuhada and Masjid Wazir Khan.-PPI/APP
