LAHORE: People representing cross section of society strongly condemned bomb explosion in a passengers bus which claimed fifty two precious lives and left many others injured near Phool Nagar in district Kasur today.

Media Consultant Mukhtar Awan termed the brutal act as terrorism and added elected government could not be cowed down with the cheap tactics. He said innocent people are being punished by the enemy for the government's stand on Kashmir.

He further said terrorists have now chosen Punjab for carrying out nefarious activities through terrorism. He called upon the opposition and the masses to co-operate with the government in foiling the evil designs of the enemy.

Punjab Minister for Social Welfare Nazir Ahmed Utra said, it is most unfortunate that blast had occured a day before Eid when people were rushing home to celebrate Eid at their homes .

He said it is an act of clear terrorism which aimed at destabilising the government besides creating harassment in the society.

He said elected government could not be intimidated through cheap tactics and warned those involved in ghastly act of violence would not go unpunished.-APP
