KARACHI: Karachi central police arrested an MQM activist here on Thursday and recover arms and ammunition from him.

According to details, police was informed that Mohammad Sattar son of Mohammad Rafiq was hiding in Nagan Chowrangi area in sector 5-F, it raided the spot and arrested him. It also recovered one mouser and three rounds from his possession. Police claimed that he was an activist of MQM(A).

Meanwhile, Haji Mohammad Hussain Bhona, Advisory Councillor of PPP lodged an FIR No 156/96 at Buffer Zone police station, district Central against Suleman a member of PPP.

According to police he stated in FIR that he was going from Sohrab Goth to New Karachi and when he reached at Shafique roundabout, a taxi No. PL 3064 and a motorcycle KCB-4879 opened fire at his car No. N-2467. He said Suleman boarded in a taxi and allegedly attempted to kill him.

Police termed the whole case as drama and stated that they had a quarrel on amount of property as both were indulged in estate and property business.-PPI
