Labour policy

KARACHI: The proposed labour policy was reviewed at a meeting of Standing Committee on Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis which met here Thursday with Waja Ahmed Karim Dad Baloch, MNA, in the chair.

Waja Karim Dad told the meeting that Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto wanted to give a balacned labour policy to the country which would take care of interests of both the employers and employees.

He said that both employers and employees were two wheels of the same cart and they equally contribute to the national economy.

He said: "The committee soon submit its report on the labour policy to the Prime Minister for an early implementation so that PPP's commitment to the workers is fulfilled.

The committee comprises MNAs Abdul Aziz Memon, Muzaffar Khan, Abdul Mateen Khan, Rai Muhammed Aslam Khan Kharal, Sardar Talib Hussain Nakai, Father Rufin Julius, Muhammed Kabir Khan, Ch Sher Ali and Mehr Zulfikar Ali Babu besides Ghulam Akbar Lasi, Minister of State for Labour.-APP
