KARACHI: Due to closure of Kanupp, the KESC again resorted to loadshedding on Thursday to the tune of 30 to 45 MW in residential areas from 10.30 a.m. to six p.m.

This was stated by a spokesman of the KESC in a statement on Thursday.

Loadshedding for the same reason, he said, carried out in industrial areas to the tune of 150 MW from seven p.m. onward.

KESC spokesman stated that power supply to parts of Azzempura, Bin Qasim Railway Station and Siddiq Masjid Malir remained affected due to burnt out pole mounted transformers (PMT's).

Arrangements were being made to replace these PMT's. Besides, power supply to a part of Garden West was also restored Thursday afternoon after the repair of the cable fault, he added.-APP
