KARACHI: The son of Karachi Jamat-e-Islami's Secretary General was shot dead in Site industrial area here on Thursday.

According to details, Utban, 20, son of Ghaffar Omar Secretary General, Jamat-e-Islami, Karachi was shot at by two unidentified armed men, who fled away from the scene.

Utban was immediately rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to reports, when Utban was removed from the spot where he was shot at, cash worth over Rs. 200,000 was found lying near his motorcycle.

Utban was a student and doing part time job in a factory in Site industrial area.

Meanwhile, two more persons namely Qadar and Deen were also shot at in Saudabad, Malir. The two were real brothers and were removed to hospital by Edhi ambulance.
