Indian cotton ranged
on scattered
mill demand
BOMBAY: Cotton prices moved in a narrow range on Wednesday on scattered mill demand, dealers said.
"Prices of most varieties ruled quiet on lack of fresh buying support," a dealer said.
Spot prices of Punjab F-414 ruled quiet at 1,820/1,850 rupees per maund and saw-ginned was unchanged at 1,520/1,540 rupees. Gujarat Kalyan was up a tad at 10,300/10,700 rupees from 10,250/10,675 rupees per candy on fresh buying interest.
"Sankar-4 variety ruled marginally higher by 5 rupees at 1,021/1,032 rupees on buying support from state-owned cotton agencies," a dealer said.-Reuter
