KARACHI: Two persons, including a jeweller, were killed in different incidents of firing while an MQM(A) activist died in CIA custody on Wednesday.

According to details an MQM activist Mohammad Amin died in CIA custody late Tuesday night allegedly due to severe torture during interrogation.

Amin, 25, was arrested by CIA from Clifton area about 10 days ago. On Wednesday three police constables, two in plane clothes and one in uniform, brought his dead body to JPMC.

A police party had surrounded the hospital and no one was allowed to seen the body. The DSP of CIA, Saddar denied the report of the death of Mohammad Amin at the CIA Center Saddar.

Noor Mohammad Owner of Al-Mezan Jewellers was killed in targeted firing near his shop on Dawood Pota Road.

Noor was said to be standing outside his shop at about 1.30 p.m. when two armed men riding on a motor-cycle opened fire on him. He was critically injured. He was shifted to Civil Hospital, where he breathed his last.

Shahid was killed in firing incident inside a coach near Lea Market. Shahid boarded a coach from Lea Market to go to Hub Chowki. During travelling a dispute led to heated altercation between him and his fellow traveller which resulted in shooting. Shahid was rushed to Civil Hospital where he died before any medical help.
