direct purchase

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Municipal Corporation (FMC) has saved more than Rs 5.50 lakh by purchasing lights directly from the manufacturers.

This was disclosed by Rana Aftab Ahmed MPA Chairman Special Purchase Committee constituted for the purpose, here on Tuesday. He said the committee had direct dialogue with the representatives of various manufacturing firms and discussed with them the quality with comparative price evaluation of their products.

He said that lights of Rs 53 lakh have been purchased. The direct dealing has saved FMC Rs 5.50 lakh besides additional guarantees.

Aftab said FMC has purchased 100 garden lights and additional tubelights from this savings which will help FMC to improve its streetlight system in the city.-APP
