Banks show

pre-tax profits

in fiscal 1995

ISLAMABAD: National Bank of Pakistan has earned pre-tax profit of rupees 3081 million followed by pre-tax profits of rupees 929 million recorded by Muslim Commercial Bank during calendar year 1995.

Pre-tax profit earned by Citibank during this period amounted to rupees 816 million, Habib Bank Limited-rupees 709 million, Askari Bank-450 million and Faysal Bank showed profit of rupees 402 million.

The growth in profit of these financial institutions in 1995 over 1994 is to the tune of 10.11 percent by NBP, 31.4 percent-MCB, 6.46 percent-HBL, 31.50 percent-Citibank, 19.96 percent-Askari and 174.85 percent-Faysal Bank.-APP
