LAHORE: Preparations by the Kashmiri circles for the forthcoming general elections of AJK legislative assembly due in the month of July 1996 are in full swing.

All the political parties of Azad Kashmir have started contacting the desirous persons to award ticket for the seats of AJK, seats reserved for Kashmiri immigrants residing in various cities of Pakistan and for seats allocated for held areas of Kashmir.

In this regard, the parliamentary board of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference will visit the provincial metropolis for three days to devise strategy in this regard. Raja Farooque Hyder, Chairman Parliamentary Board of AJK Muslim Conference will preside over a meeting of the Muslim Conference leaders and members in Lahore on Thursday to invite their suggestions for awarding tickets to suitable persons to represent Kashmiris of Punjab and Lahore in the legislative assembly.

According to the Muslim Conference sources, office bearers and workers of all the ward level wings of the party would attend this meeting.-PPI
