KARACHI: Chris Davis, ABN Amro Bank's Head of Consumer Banking in Asia, inaugurated the newly renovated branch in Karachi on Monday.

Davis appreciated the efforts of the local management and highlighted the fact that the branch was very customer-focused, facilitating interface between the customer and the Bank.

Now on his first visit to Pakistan Davis is spearheading the development and implementation of Consumer Banking for ABN Amro's Asia Division which comprises 16 countries, including Pakistan.

Atif Bajwa, Country Manager, ABN Amro Pakistan, also emphasised the need for the bank to be customer-focused, and be service-oriented. The new branch was designed with this primary objective.

ABN Amro has introduced two new concepts, one in introducing the concept of a 'TV wall' and the second innovative idea was the highly visible merchandising windows. These windows are very attractive to look at because of the mobile visuals displayed in the windows. These measures are but the first visible steps that ABN Amro is taking towards its endeavour to become the most preferred bank in the country, and indeed in the region.

Davis lauded the efforts initiated in Pakistan and went so far as to say that ABN Amro Pakistan was taking a proactive and leading role in the development of consumer banking in the region.
