directed to pay

workers arrears

before Eid

LAHORE: The President of the Allied Bank Limited Shaukat Ali Kazmi has directed the bank management to implement the agreement reached between the administration and the Workers Union of the ABL.

According to a press release issued by the Allied Bank Workers Union under the said agreement all the arrears will be paid to the employees before Eid. A noticeable increase has also been given to the employees in the house rent, conveyance allowance, and medical allowance.

The maximum limit for the house loan, motorcycle and bicycle loans have also increased considerably. Moreover it was also agreed that Rs 10,000 will also paid as burrial allowance to the remanents of the employees who dies while in the service.

The number of sponsored employees for Haj has also been increased to 12 and leave encashment will be allowed at a rate equal to one month's salary alongwith all allowance once a year.

This agreement was signed by President ABL, Shaukat Ali Kazmi with Rasheed M. Chaudhary, Syed Johar Hussain, I.A. Usmani, and Syed Ahsan Zaidi while on the worker's behalf. The agreement was signed by Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Malik Waheed, Khalid and Abu Zar Bokhari.

The workers leaders hailing the decision termed the agreement as victory for the workers. They thanked President ABL Shaukat Kazmi for issuing timely orders of the implementation of the agreement.

As a result of the agreement substantial increase is being allowed for education, special duty, qualification pay, washing and uniform allowances, special area postings, cashier and security guard allowances.
