LAHORE: Police said a blast on early Monday morning in the United States Information Centre here was caused by fireworks being used at a wedding ceremony.

According to police, the wedding ceremony was taking place at a residence situated near the centre. The police said that fireworks fell on the premises of the building.

No loss of life or property was reported.

A source of USIS said that its security personnel in collaboration with the local police had begun investigation.-APP
