BRUSSELS: Belgian bonds ended firmer on Monday, outperforming Bunds slightly and with dealers predicting a further narrowing of the 10-year yield spread over Germany during the rest of the week.

"The market was technically driven and also following U.S. Treasuries," one dealer said.

The 2006 OLO yielded 6.60 percent at the close compared to 6.65 at the end of Friday's session. The premium over equivalent Bunds narrowed one basis point to 27. Some dealers said the spread should edge in further following Monday's monthly OLO auction, perhaps going as low as 20 basis points.-Reuter
