holidays
KARACHI: The member publications of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) shall observe two holidays on Monday and Tuesday the 29th and 30th April respectively on account of Eid-ul-Azha.
Consequently there will be no morning papers on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, the evening papers will not be published on 29th and 30th April, 1996 and they may bring out their issues on May 01 on Wednesday said in a press communique on Sunday here.
In view of the fact that this year May day will follow immediately after Eid holidays therefore it was decided that member publications would not observe May 1 as closed holiday as a special case as readers are not deprived of newspapers for three consecutive days. The member publications are advised to arrange their issue to be published on Thursday May 2, 1996 it further stated.-PPI
