HYDERABAD: About 100 activists, including women, of various nationalist parties and social organisation staged a demonstration in front of Hyderabad Press Club here on Sunday against Jeay Sindh Tarraqqi Passand Party (JSTPP) for their alleged involvement in a murderous attack on the life of Sindhi nationalist and member of Jeay Sindh Qoumi Mohaz, Khaki Joyo.

The protestors who belonged to Sindh People Students Federation (working committee), JSQM, Sindh Peoples Youth, Sindhi Qoumi Saath and Bhitai Town Welfare Association, carried placards and banners against the Chairman of JSTPP now renamed as Sindh Tarraqqi Passand Party, Dr Qadir Magsi. They also put his effigy to torch.

Addressing the demonstrators Aftab Shoban Palejo, Liaquat Nizamani, Fahmida Qureshi, Akhtar Jamali and others accused the STPP of terrorism and attacking a Sindhi nationalist leader.

They warned the STPP to behave in a political way otherwise they were fully capable to counter what they called the terrorism of Dr Qadir Magsi. The terrorism in Karachi has been suppressed ruthlessly whereas the terrorism of Tarraqqi Passand Party is neither being checked nor eliminated, they wondered.

They demanded of the government to ensure the arrest of the assailants within 24 hours otherwise the entire responsibility of the consequences would rest with the terrorists and the government.
