AH Kardar
passes away
LAHORE: Former Pakistan Test captain Abdul Hafeez Kardar died here on Sunday of heart failure. He was 72.
He was found dead at his Gulberg house when his servant went to wake him. Kardar is survived by his son Shahid.
Kardar who captained Pakistan in test cricket from 1952 to 1958 had also served as the Punjab Education Minister during the early 70's and had authored many books.
He was also a former Pakistan ambassador to Switzerland. He is to be buried later on Sunday evening.-APP
