LAHORE: The launching ceremony of the book " Jinnah, the Conqueror" by Ibadur Rehman Khan, was held at Alhamra here onSaturday. Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Dr. Nasim Hassan Shah was the chief guest on the occasion. The book written by octogenarian comrade of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, deals with the life and achievements of the founding father.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Rtd) Dr. Nasim Hassan Shah said that father of the nation achieved Pakistan after braving through all the odds put by the British and the Hindus in his way.

" Pakistan is a legacy of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah; we have to save it," he added.

He said that the Pakistanis lost half of their country in the year 1971 only due to their follies and reckless thinking.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam believed in Islamic democracy. " He had full understanding of all the principles of Islam", Dr. Shah said. Author of the Book, Ibadur Rehman Khan, former Vice-Chancellor of the Punjab University, Dr. Muneeruddi, Dr. Abdur Rauf, Former Director Public Instructions (DPI) Punjab, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Azhar, Principal Oriental College, Lahore and columnist Azra Khayal also spoke on the occasion.-APP
