Saver Account'

QUETTA: Allied Bank of Pakistan Limited has launched a new scheme "Allied Overseas Saver Account" with a view to stimulate the foreign remitters to remit their funds through banking channels as a protion of foreign remittances is not channelled through the banking system rather the same is being channelised through private Hundi and Hawala systems. Bank has offered 3 percent higher rate of normal profit on the funds placed under saving and term deposit accounts received by way of remittances through banking channels. This would help in strengthening our national economy, says a press release.

Announcing this at high level meeting held at ABL provincial headquarters under the chairmanship of Bilal Mustafa, Provincial Chief, Allied Bank Balochistan province. He advised the participants to play effective role in the development of the economy and made the staff more mobile and provide best services to the clients. Bilal stressed on the need to provide awareness to the people about the bank services enabling them to use the banking channels instead of private channels which leads to financial scams. He instructed to work for the development of the economy. He emphasised that banks played pivotal role in the development of the economy of the country, therefore, they should work with honesty, dedication, zeal and national enthusiasm.
