LAHORE: The Director General Excise and Taxation Punjab Chaudhary Saleem Jamil has directed all the Excise and Taxation Officers (ETO) of Lahore to carry out frequent surprise visits of premises to check and verify the draft lists of property tax survey.

Talking to APP here on Tuesday, he said that evaluation of property tax survey for the next five year was under completion.

He said that draft lists of property tax survey have been displayed conspicuously at the divisional office and zonal offices to facilitate the people to check them and they may file objections if any by April 11 next.

He said that some of the people have filed objections from the different parts of the city and their genuine grievances would be redressed. He said that all the ETOs of Lahore have been directed to conduct surprise visits at different premises to check and verify whether the property tax has been assessed properly or not. He said that all out efforts were being made to fully ensure that no injustice is done with any person during this survey.

The Director Excise and Taxation, Lahore Division Sheikh Arshad Hussain has directed the ETOs to submit their performance report daily to him and take action against their subordinates if found indulging in any malpractice or irregularity.

The Director said that the last date for filing objections had been extended to April 11 next to facilitate the people.-APP
